MGP –
means Machine Graded Pine.
This
is structural superior timber.
MGP10 is a better grade
than the F5 sold in the “majors”, as such the price should be higher. Compare
apples with apples!
However, we are now
selling MGP 10 & F7 at the F5 price.
You win, because you are getting a superior product
at the cheaper price
Why
“rougher header”?
- Treated
pine is very durable.
- Smooth dressing
can sometimes promote splitting.
- Grooving
can prevent splitting.
- Moisture
can sit on flat surfaces and cause mould.
- Reeding
promotes airflow which discourages mould.
- Reeding
makes it easier to grip timber when working
- If you
whack someone on the head with a 4 x 2, you do not want it slipping
out of your hands!
Please note: timber should be purchased in stock
lengths. Always check availability before ordering. Finished size of
timber can vary. Be sure of suitability before purchase. An extra charge
may apply on some cut lengths. If not sure, just ask!
