Woven, Slimline & Oriental Lattice
There
is an old saying, “Good fences make good neighbours”
The trend in suburbia - our blocks
get smaller & our neighbours are getting closer. Closer in proximity
that is!
With our busy lifestyles, our
personal space is at a premium.
Our backyards are one of our last
sacred refuges to relax and unwind. (Some people even like to sunbathe in
the nude.)
So often we hear of unit
developments sprung up next door, overlooking our once private courtyard.
Woven lattice
is about the best statement you can make to a neighbour.
“I don’t want to see or hear you. My
space is my space – so butt out”
Sometimes the feeling is mutual, so
you may actually be able to ask
for half payment off your neighbour. It is always worth a try.
Diplomacy pays!
Slimline or Oriental lattice can
also be the solution. It has small 10 x 65mm slits instead of total block
out. If you don’t mind your
neighbours, you can talk through the gaps and at least see their eyes. This is good if you have ugly but
interesting neighbours.
Whichever you choose, I personally recommend woven.
In particular the 75mm or 100mm is a
long lasting solution for your privacy issues.
