The latest prices to change are the Merbau Decking – that is down too!

The price is changing everyday on Merbau, so I am not going to bother quoting prices anymore. I give up! Tell us our competitor's price & we will match it.

Actually, I have surveyed our competitors & have now updated the prices.

MGP – means Machine Graded Pine.

This is structurally superior timber.

MGP10 is a better grade than the F5 sold in the “majors”, as such the price should be higher.

Compare apples with apples!

However, we are now selling MGP 10 & F7 at the F5 price.

You win, because you are getting a superior product at the cheaper price

Why “rougher header”?

ü  Treated pine is very durable.

  • Smooth dressing can sometimes promote splitting.

ü  Grooving can prevent splitting.

  • Moisture can sit on flat surfaces and cause mould.

ü  Reeding promotes airflow which discourages mould.

ü  Reeding makes it easier to grip timber when working

ü  If you whack someone on the head with a 4 x 2, you do not want it slipping out of your hands! (I do not condone this at all by the way, so don’t say I encouraged you! It is merely an observation – not that I have personally done it or seen it! It can be a good debt collection method, but in the words of one of the Carlton Crew, use your imagination……)

Please note that Merbau pricing is under review. If you have a better price, please let us know. We should be able to match or better with our superior quality product

BEWARE – many so called “bargain” suppliers are ILLEGALLY selling CCA “timber slats” as decking.

The government changed the rules, but does not enforce them.

Your safety is at risk! Your children are at risk!

CCA was banned for use as decking. Some smart a$$e suppliers think they can get around the rules. Yes, technically (may think) they can, but they KNOW the end use; therefore the description as “slats” is not legal. Not “fit for purpose”

If you find CCA sold as decking, report the supplier to the EPA & Consumer affairs.
